From November 1 – December 25, The Petstock Foundation will be donating the equivalent of 100,000 bowls of food to animals that enrich our lives, as part of its national Christmas Bowl Project initiative.
In the spirit of giving, the Petstock Foundation is encouraging pet lovers across the country to put a pet that needs their support on their Christmas list and raise funds for animals that make our lives better by providing us with companionship, guidance, and support.
Petstock Foundation’s Charity and Events, Jessica Curtis, says the donations will go to like-minded partner organisations, including some local rescue groups, that have worked tirelessly throughout the year to care for hundreds of animals and people within their communities.
“By donating $2, the amount required for one bowl of food, customers can make the world of difference to organisations that are stretched for resources, especially at Christmas” says Jessica.
“Food is such a key ingredient to Christmas and allows us to reconnect with loved ones – four-legged or two-legged - yet many organisations rely on donations such as this to provide for their animals and clients.
“Through this initiative, we’re not only hoping to support the animals, but also their owners and carers by alleviating the worry that supplying just one meal can cause.
“Thanks to our generous network of supply partners including campaign partners Ivory Coat, Simparica, Revolution Plus and Royal Canin along with our dedicated community of pet parents, we’re able to support programs and organisations that are making a positive difference to the lives of animals across the country.
Petstock’s Retail Marketing Manager, Courtney Lee, says the Christmas Bowl Project is part of a wider focus for the business to prioritise purpose and make a difference to the lives of pets and their families this Christmas.
“While we all love to spoil our family and pets at Christmas, we can’t forget about the hundreds of pets that provide support to vision impaired Australians, companionship to the elderly or those that are waiting patiently in the shelters for their forever family,” says Courtney.
“When making a donation, you can still treat your furry family member to a new festive toy by purchasing specially marked products from November until Christmas at every Petstock store location nationally.”
