"Meeting the cute puppies and dedicated and passionate trainers and seeing how our donations make an impact was inspiring!

Having a child with extra needs puts a strain on the whole family and hearing the stories and how these assistance dogs can change lives was inspirational.

I’m so proud to work for a company that offers these opportunities!"

- Emily Bodell

"Helping those who help the community in Tassie, was an amazing feeling, especially with how grateful they were for our assistance.

We all left feeling empowered!"

HorsePower

Rebekah was born with Spina Bifida and has spent much of her life in a wheelchair. At the age of six her parents took her to try HorsePower's services. These services have transformed her mobility, independence, self-confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Rebekah has previously been President of HorsePower Hills and is currently Vice President. She is now training to be an assistant coach, with the view of becoming a level 1 coach!

Smart Pups

Henry is an assistance dog and has been trained specifically to help our son, Jack, with his Autism. He has made a positive impact not only on Jack, but on our entire family.

Henry helps Jack in every aspect of his life, from medical appointments, school, shopping trips, family outings, communication with others, and daily life at home.

Henry is the furry sidekick that Jack needed.

How to Train a Therapy Dog

Sit, stay, fetch - these commands comprise basic training but they're far from the limit of what a dog is capable of.
